Photos from our Dining Club Dinner

On Saturday,  November 18th, we had our Greenheart Dining Club Holiday Dinner.  All went very well, and we had a blast!

Guests are gathering for dinner on the veranda.  Patrick is serving Orange Spiced Tea.

Although the weather has been perfect here in Tucson this fall, and was very comfortable outdoors at 5 pm, we thought our guests might find it cool outside to sit and eat dinner, and so we set up the tables indoors.

Ted built a fire so it was warm and cozy.

We started the meal with a toast and a "green shot":  alfalfa from our garden, carrots and green beans juiced together.  Then we had hot bowls of Roasted Leek and Potato Soup that was garnished with  our garden herbs.

Amrita and I are in the kitchen, preparing to serve the main course of the evening...

Roasted Pumpkin stuffed with GF Cornbread and Sausage Stuffing, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Parsnips with Gravy, Fresh Cranberry Sauce with Pineapple and Oranges.

After our delicious dinner, we invited everyone to get up, walk around, and step outside as we cleared the tables and brought out the desserts.

Our guests enjoying a break on the porch...

Colleen lent some support in the kitchen as we served up the Tofu Pumpkin Pie and Rainforest Cake.

After dessert and more conversation, our guests left feeling full and satisfied, but not stuffed!!  Our entire meal was healthy and delicious, and a great way to celebrate the season.

Please feel free to post your comments!

So.... until the next Dining club, thanks to everyone for coming by...
