November: Greenheart Dining Club and Le Buzz Cafe

We are very pleased to have the date set for our next Dining Club dinner:  Friday, November 22nd.  And we have a venue change:  La Mariposa Resort on Houghton Road (between Tanque Verde and Speedway); this is where I led a Vegan Challenge in September and October.  That went so well; the location is beautiful and comfortable for guests, and La Mariposa would love to have us there.  This dinner is by invitation --- so please write/call if you are interested. The Greenheart Dining Club

Le Buzz Cafe (9121 E. Tanque Verde Rd., (next to Safeway) is going to carry some of Greenheart's bakery items for their customers who would like to have vegan, whole-grain, gluten-free, no refined sugar or added oil treats!  They start Friday, November 8th -- and will give it a 3-month trial.  This is special as Le Buzz bakes all their bakery items in-house, and is making an exception.  Many customers have told me they love Le Buzz, but can't find anything to order there except a bagel -- now there'll be options!  You can always call ahead 749-3903 to see what they have.

We are really enjoying the Antique Fair, which is held the first Sunday of the month at Tanque Verde Elementary School.  This past Sunday, we brought Ted's delicious Harvest Vegetable Soup, served with mini corn muffins, as well as hot coffee for the early morning, and iced tea for the afternoon.  We had sandwiches and hummus plates, in addition to layer cakes, muffins, cookies, apricot date bars - something for everyone.  We were glad to see people we'd met last month, and made new acquaintances.  Best comment of the day:  "It's so nice to have something sweet not gunked up with a lot of sugar!"  This from an antique vendor as he bought a number of things to take home with him.

We continue to do Farmers Markets:  Friday at UMC on Campbell from 10 am - 2 pm.  Saturdays at the Loft Cinema from 8 am - noon.  NEW MARKET:  Sundays at Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon from 9 am - 2 pm.  This market is on the south side of Tanque Verde, by Chase Bank in the Santa Fe Square shopping center.  We have the same good produce vendors there that we have at UMC on Fridays -- come check it out!

Also, almost forgot to mention: We are now selling 100% pure Arizona Jojoba Oil from this year's crop. It is organic as well. Ted has been involved with Jojoba Oil since 1982, and his standards are very high. If you are familiar with Jojoba Oil then you know that it is unsurpassed as a natural emollient and moisturizer for skin and hair. This oil is pure and natural --- nothing added, and nothing removed. A 2 oz. bottle is $7, or a 4 oz. bottle is $12 ---while supplies last.

Well, that is the latest from here... Hope to see you all soon!

Thanks,

Alaine
