Green Valley farmers market Wed Nov 12th

We really had a good time at the Green Valley farmers market last Wednesday, and we shall be there again this Wednesday -- with Chocolate Pumpkin Uncheesecake!

The pumpkin "body"  is perfectly spiced with cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg, sweetened with apple-peach-pear syrup and a little maple syrup.  No added fat but the silken tofu gives a plant protein content.  The crust is organic oat flour, organic cocoa powder, cinnamon and maple syrup, for a gluten-free crust that has no added fat.  The chocolate mousse on top is made of silken tofu, dark chocolate, and sweetened to perfection with maple syrup.  A delicious, heart-healthy dessert that is neither fattening, nor too "heavy" - and easy to digest!

There will be the usual assortment of 3 flavors of muffins, apricot date bars, 3 kinds of cookies, 2 kinds of brownies, pumpkin pecan bread, pear cranberry upside down cake, pumpkin tarts, pecan tarts.  Savory:  sprouted organic millet lentil sandwiches, tuno sandwiches, gluten-free pasta pesto, caponata.
