Green Valley Class and St. Phillips farmers markets

On Wednesday, January 14th, I will speak in Green Valley at the January Veggie Pot-luck at 12:15 p.m.  Location:  Friends-in-Deed building, 301 W. Camino Casa Verde, 85614.  It is a pot-luck, so you would bring a dish to share that is either vegan or vegetarian - and marked as such.  Also bring a plate and fork (easy on the environment!).

I will give a short talk on how I went vegan in 1989, the health benefits I've enjoyed especially after a severe horse crash in 2009.  I will also demonstrate how to make Pear Cranberry Upside Down Cake, and hand out copies of the recipe.  It's free (except for bringing some food to share), so come enjoy yourself!  My fellow vendor, Jody, will "man" my booth at the Green Valley farmers market, so my regular food will be available there.

This weekend, Green Heart will be at St. Phillips Farmers Markets, both Sat and Sun, 9 am - 1 pm.

This week, the soup will be Black Bean, and I will repeat the Baked Samosa Casserole.  I will have a Carrot Cake by the slice, and Gingerbread, frosted or un-frosted.  The chewy Oatmeal Craisin Cookies will be there, as well as the Tuno (Chickpea of the Sea ;-) Sandwiches and containers.

Heads-up:  Beginning next week, the week of January 12th, I will make my first delivery to New Life on Speedway.  They will carry an assortment of sandwiches, soup, salads, and baked goods.  More info to come.

The year is off to a great start!  Just so busy for everyone -- PLEASE schedule time for yourself for "self-care".

All the best to all of us!
