Summer's Here and It's Hot

We are taking lots of orders for cakes so don't hesitate to call us (520-954-2409) to place an order; that is better than trying to order on-line.  It's important to get all your questions answered and for us to get your order just right.

Now that it is summer (and so hot), and the customer flow has slowed down at the Saturday St. Phillips farmers market, we are on hiatus for the summer JUST FROM THAT MARKET. We shall return in the fall when the customers do.

We continue to do the Sunday Heirloom Farmers Market at Rillito Park (4502 N. 1st, where the racetrack is, on the north side of Rillito Wash).  8 am - noon, and we are set up in Pavilion 1.  Please come see us there!  

You can "like" us on Facebook, and then you will see our Friday morning post, in which we remind everyone and confirm that we will be at Rillito Park on Sunday morning. We also post some of the highlights of what we will have that weekend.

Typically, we have a layer cake (Chocolate Brownie, Carrot, Banana Chocolate Chip), a pie (Fresh Peach, Triple Berry, among others), 2 kinds of muffins (Blueberry Blue Corn, Orange Coconut Pineapple, Peach and Blueberry Oat Bran, Lemon Raspberry), tea breads (Banana Walnut, Carrot Bread, Zucchini Bread), cookies (Chewy Oatmeal Craisin, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip Pecan, Molasses Ginger, grain-free Lemon No Sugar Cookies), bars (Apricot Date, Lemon), and Chocolate Doughnuts (baked).

On the savory side, we usually have 2 kinds of sandwiches (Chickpea Tuna, Roasted Veggies in Pesto Panini, Hummus & Veggie Slaw) on Dave's Killer Bread.  We also have the chickpea tuna in 8 oz containers.  Soup in 16 oz containers to heat at home (Pumpkin Lentil, Black Bean & Sweet Potato, Mulligatawny, Minestrone, Pasta y Fagioli, Chili, Split Pea, Watermelon Gazpacho).  Some weekends we have Roasted Veggie Pesto Lasagna with Puttanesca Sauce; some we have Roasted Poblano Chili Casserole.  Other dishes in rotation include Curried Quinoa Salad, Caponata, Seitan Bowl, gluten-free (mild) Szechuan Noodles.  

Please feel free to call us to verify a dish you are looking for.  You are welcome to join our "regulars" who place an order from the weekend's menu.  You may pick up Sunday at Rillito Park, or after Monday afternoon at New Life Health Center at 4841 E. Speedway (www.newlifehealth.org)

Crossroads Coffee, 8898 E. Tanque Verde, carries a wide selection of our baked goods for your convenience and enjoyment.  They have great coffee, too!
