GREEN HEART MENU FOR EASTER SUNDAY 4/4

Mushroom Barley Soup

Ted will make Mushroom Barley Soup. (SF, oil-free, nut-free) $7.

Frozen we have: “Cream” of Broccoli, Black-eyed Pea, Southwest Black Bean $7.

Tomato & Asparagus Quiche

sun-dried tomatoes, fresh asparagus, nutritional yeast, onion, in an organic tofu-based filling, topped with fresh tomato & Daiya Swiss cheez, in a white WW crust.

( filling is oil-free; crust is low oil) $9.00/slice

Whole 9” Quiche $30.

Gluten-free option: GF crust, OR no crust (for grain- free) $9/slice. Whole 9” GF Crust Quiche $35.

BBQ Ribs w/Potato Salad

House-made seitan spare “ribs” in our BBQ sauce, with both potato salad & our southwest black bean salad (SF, oil in soy-free Vegenaise-based dressing on the potato salad) $11

Southwest Black Bean Salad

Organic black beans, jicama, green onion, red bell, roasted corn in a fresh lime juice dressing. (GF, SF, no oil). 8 oz. $7.00

Nicoise Salad

Our chickpea mock “tuna” on organic greens, with steamed red potatoes, green beans, cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives. Our Ranch dressing on the side (because that’s more fun than vinaigrette ;-) (GF) $8.50

Sandwiches

Chickpea Mock “Tuna”: 8 oz container, or on Dave’s Killer Bread. This is very low fat, as we make the “mayo” (tofu, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, Dijon, agave), and high in fiber and plant protein. $8. (filling is GF, oil-free)

Curried ChickUn Salad: 3 grain tempeh in a dressing of mayo and mango chutney, mixed with celery, raisins & roasted cashews. 8 oz container, or on Dave’s Killer Bread. $8.50 (filling is soy-free)

Seitan Reuben: house-made seitan corned “beef”, sauerkraut, house-made cashew cheez spread, with our Russian dressing, on organic sprouted rye. $9

Healthy Desserts

Jelly Bean Cupcakes – Carrot Cake frosted in tofu frosting, topped with jelly beans & green “grass” coconut shreds (photo of these and bunny cake on Facebook page). OR instead of jelly beans, fresh berries on top of the carrot cake cupcake. $5.

*Please note the TJ jelly beans contain no artificial colors but do contain beeswax.
