Menu for Sunday 8/29, 8 - 11:30 am, Rillito Park Farmers Market

Dear Green Heart Friends,

And the HEAT is back on, and so you will see the menu reflects that:  Nourish Bowls (which you can eat cold), Red Bell Peppers stuffed w/Mexican Rice (which you CAN eat cold, but don't have to), Individual Pizzas (who doesn't like cold pizza?), and Corn Chowder (that you heat up, but always seems to go with hot weather). 😀

Nourish Bowl (in case you've forgotten its beauty)

I have also included the 20-some ingredients of the Chispa Meal Bar ("chispa" means "a little bit").  You'll see it has no sweetener per se; doesn't need it with all the dried fruit.  It is small-ish, and is designed to be a nourishing & FILLING meal bar.  You can decide if it works for you. Next week I'll type up the nutritional info for you but I plan to have it with me on Sunday at the market.

I caught an amusing post by The Minimalist Baker where she mentioned the Wonder Muffin at a coffee concession at the Portland Airport.  She was unable to "crack the code" of their healthy GF vegan muffin, and that reminded me of all the fuss in Los Angeles over Alaine's Bakery Blueberry Oat Bran Muffins (way back when). Weight Watchers loved them and deemed them 1 point (on their old system, whatever that was), and Whole Foods had a hard time keeping up with the demand (they ordered them from us).  I may re-name our Blueberry Oat Bran Muffin, which is organic, whole grain GF, sweetened w/agave, no added fat, loaded with fiber, and delicious, the Blueberry Wonder Muffin 💚😀, at least for this week. Yes, it's on the menu!

A lovely young U of A grad (originally from China) made her weekly stop by our booth last Sunday for a Reuben and Carrot Cake.  Unfortunately, we were already sold out of both.  She told us this Sunday will be her last as she departs for Boston to get another degree (Business Analytics; yes, I asked), and so we are repeating the Carrot Cake especially for her (and this time holding her "favorites" for her).  Just sayin' cuz we do stuff like that.

See you Sunday!
