Labor Day Weekend Menu for Rillito Park Farmers Market 8-11:30am

 

Green Heart MENU for Sunday 9/5

Mushroom Barley Soup

Ted will make Mushroom Barley Soup. (SF, oil-free, nut-free) $7.

Frozen:  we have 2 Corn Chowders available. $7

BBQ Ribs w/Potato Salad & Baked Beans

House-made seitan spare “ribs” in our BBQ sauce, with both red potato salad & baked beans (SF, oil in soy-free Vegenaise-based dressing on the potato salad) $12

Organic Quinoa Salad

Organic quinoa, green onions, carrots, red bell pepper, raw almonds, raisins, cucumber, parsley, coconut yogurt, lime juice, curry and tumeric. (GF, SF, oil-free). $8.

Nicoise Salad

Our chickpea mock “tuna” on organic greens, with steamed red potatoes, green beans, cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, Kalamata olives. Our Ranch dressing on the side (because that’s more fun than vinaigrette ;-) (GF, SF, no nuts) $9.

 

Sandwiches

Chickpea Mock “Tuna”:  8 oz container, OR on Dave’s Killer Bread. This is very low fat, as we make the “mayo” (tofu, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, Dijon, agave), and high in fiber and plant protein. $8. (filling is GF, oil-free)

Tempeh ChickUn Salad:  8 oz container, OR on Dave’s Killer Bread (we use soy-free Vegenaise in the dressing). $8.50

Seitan Reuben:  house made seitan corned “beef”, sauerkraut, Daiya Swiss, with our Russian dressing, on organic sprouted rye. $10

Organic Millet Lentil Loaf w/our cashew cheez:  on Dave’s Killer Bread, w/ketchup. Sprouted millet & green lentils cooked with onion, basil, thyme & oregano, to make a loaf that is sliced and put in the sandwich. (loaf & cashew cheez are GF, SF, oil-free. Dave’s Bread has gluten) $8.50

Healthy Desserts

Chocolate  Cake by the slice: organic whole-grain oat flour, no added oil or fat, gently sweetened with agave & maple syrup. $7/slice ( frosting is soy-based)

Tiramisu by the slice (GF, SF, oil-free) 7.00 The mascarpone is made of whipped coconut cream blended with soaked cashews and maple syrup.

Organic Chocolate Raspberry Tarts (GF, small amount of oil in tart crust, nut-free) $7.  Organic raspberries set in our chocolate “cream”, drizzled with melted chocolate.

Triple Berry Mini-Pies w/streusel top (GF, SF, oil-free) 6.50 each.  The streusel is make of blended pecans, coconut shreds & dates, spiced with cinnamon & nutmeg.

Almond Overjoy Truffles (raw & rolled in coconut) $2/each, or 3/$5

Breakfast

Chocolate Glazed (baked) Donuts (GF, oil-free) 4.00

The Blueberry Oat Bran Wonder Muffins (GF, no added oil) 4.00

Fresh Pineapple Streusel Coffee Cake (GF, SF, no oil) $5. The streusel is the same as described above in mini-pies.

 Banana Walnut Bread, Zucchini Walnut Bread.  (GF, no added oil)  $7.

Cookies & Bars

Apricot Date Bars (GF, SF, no added oil) date syrup-sweetened 4.50

Organic Chocolate Brownies (GF, no added oil) agave/maple-sweetened 4.50

*Samoa Cookies* dipped in chocolate; healthy version of the Girl Scout cookies 3 small cookies in container (SF, GF, no nuts) $4.

Oatmeal Applesauce w/Chocolate Chip (SF, GF, no added fat, no nuts) 4.50

“New” Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie made with almond flour and almond butter. (SF, GF, the almond butter is the “fat”) $4.50

Chocolate Chip Pecan (SF, GF) 4.50

Molasses Ginger (GF, no nuts) 4.00

Magic Bars (grain-free, GF, SF, oil-free) 5.00

Grain-free, Low-carb Choices:

Wedding Cookies:  almond flour, ground walnuts, sweetened with monkfruit/erythritol. $4.

Lemon (No) Sugar Cookies: almond flour, coconut oil, monkfruit, fresh lemon (GF, SF) 3 in a pack $4

Organic Brown Rice & Hemp Krispie Treats: org puffed brown rice, almond butter, date syrup, coconut oil, hemp seeds $4.
