Menu for Sunday 9/26 Rillito Park Farmers Market

Dear Green Heart Friends,

We've made it to fall 😅 as triple-digits are behind us.  This Sunday will top out in the '80's if the weather forecast doesn't change.  Odile and I may not have to stand in front of our water fan, getting our backsides wet, in order to survive the market.

Even so, I'm not bringing back Pumpkin (mini) Pies just yet, in spite of being asked to do so.  We will have the Pumpkin Cranberry Muffins again; in the old days, we never had to say "pumpkin spice" because of course pumpkin was spiced with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves - pumpkin hasn't much discernable flavor on its own unless you eat it like squash.  Last Sunday was the first week of fresh, organic apple pie filling in the hand pies; I will try to make some GF Streusel-topped mini-pies as well.  On the subject of spice, I will have the Oat Spice Loaves, which have raisins, but no nuts.

This week the Cranberry Bliss Bars, topped w/vegan cream cheez frosting, return.  Meanwhile, organic strawberries have their last hurrah in the Toasted Almond Tort.

If you are "new", the week's menu is the attachment to this email.  Just email back your order by Thursday night, and pick it up at Rillito on Sunday morning.  You will pay for it when you pick up (not in advance).

Thank you (in advance ;-) for your order, and see you Sunday!  This is our last Sunday 8 - 11:30 before we switch to Winter Hours (9 - 1).

In appreciation,

Green Heart Bakery
