HARLOW GARDENS HOLIDAY MARKETPLACE SAT & SUNDAY 11/6 and 11/7

 


Dear Green Heart Friends,

As foretold last week, Green Heart is the food vendor at Harlow Gardens Holiday Marketplace on both Sat and Sun, Nov 6/7.  5620 E Pima St (1 block east of Craycroft, sidestreet is Jefferson, which is the parking lot entrance where our booth is set up)  Hours:  Saturday 9 - 5; Sunday 9 - 3

Let me know which day you are coming, and we will have your order ready for pick-up.

Entrance to the marketplace is free.  It is a BEAUTIFUL nursery and venue for the 26th year.  The weather forecast is perfect.  Our booth is next to the picnic tables under the shade of huge trees.  The same artist/vendors do this show every year (there was no show in 2020) because it is so pleasant and successful.  This is the only event Green Heart still does (no more Pecan or Harvest or Peace Fair et al) because we love doing it!

There is a small parking lot on the west side of Harlow Gardens (entrance is on the side street Jefferson).  We are set up in that parking lot, so you do not HAVE to wander through the beautiful grounds searching for us :-)

Thank you in advance for your order.  In previous years, it has worked very well for Green Heart friends to pick up their order at Harlow.

We are a day "early" this week, as we "lose" Saturday as a prep day - SO please have your order in ASAP, or by Wednesday night.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT DAY YOU WILL PICK UP YOUR ORDER, AND WE WILL HAVE IT.  OUR BOOTH IS IN THE SMALL PARKING LOT ON THE WEST SIDE OF HARLOW GARDENS.

 

Ted’s Split Pea Soup

Onions, potatoes, carrots, peas, &  parsnips. (GF, SF, oil-free, nut-free) $7

Frozen:  4 Mushroom Barley $7.

 

GF Roasted Veggie Lasagna w/Puttanesca Sauce

Our popular (and requested) lasagna: eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, red bell peppers roasted, then coated in our pesto sauce. We use Tinkyada organic brown rice lasagna noodles. Ted makes the puttanesca sauce, which is a marinara kicked up with capers, shallots, and minced Kalamata olives.

Topped with a small amount of soy-free mozzarella. (GF, soy-free, no added oil) $12.00.

 

 

Tomato & Asparagus Quiche

sun-dried tomatoes, fresh asparagus, nutritional yeast, onion, in an organic tofu-based filling, topped with fresh tomato & Swiss cheez, in a WW crust. ( filling is oil-free; crust is low oil) $9.00/slice

W/our potato salad on the side $12.00

 

Green Goddess Quinoa Bowl

Rainbow quinoa, millet, garnet yams, kale, toasted pumpkin seeds. House made green goddess dressing of cashews, fresh parsley, fresh basil, lemon juice, garlic, served on the side. 12 oz. (GF, SF, oil-free) $10

 

Sandwiches

Chickpea Mock “Tuna”:  8 oz container, or on Dave’s Killer Bread. This is very low fat, as we make the “mayo” (tofu, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, Dijon, agave), and high in fiber and plant protein. $8. (filling is GF, oil-free)

Curried ChickUn Salad: 3 grain tempeh in a dressing of mayo and mango chutney, mixed with celery, raisins & roasted cashews. 8 oz container, or on Dave’s Killer Bread. $9.00 (filling is oil-free)

Seitan Reuben:  house made seitan corned “beef”, sauerkraut, our house made cashew cheez, with our Russian dressing, on organic sprouted rye. $10

 

Healthy Desserts

Organic Carrot Cake:  carrots, pineapple, pecans, raisins in oat flour, agave-sweetened, with our silken tofu-based vanilla frosting (GF, no added oil) $7/slice

Chocolate Cherry Truffles (raw, grain-free) :  pecans, dried cherries, dates, cacao nibs) $2/each or 3/$5

Pear Cranberry Upside Down Cake: ripe pear slices set in fresh cranberries. A single layer cake of organic whole grain oat flour, gently sweetened with agave, and lightly spiced with cinnamon and cloves. (GF, no added fat, nut-free) By the slice $5.

White Chocolate Berry Tart:  In an oat-almond flour crust, 2 layers:  first, cooked mixed berries, and second, a vegan white chocolate layer of cashews, coconut milk & white chocolate.  Garnished with fresh berries. (GF, soy-free) $7

Pumpkin Mini-Pies:  in a GF oat crust, the pumpkin filling has a silken tofu base.  Perfectly sweetened and spiced. $6.50. (no added fat, not even in crust)

Organic Apple Hand Pies:  in an organic sprouted spelt crust. The apples are mildly sweetened w/agave. (soy-free, nut-free) $6.50

Alaine’s Rainforest Cake – a loaf made of Brazil nuts, dates, 2 kinds of dried apricots, pineapple, raisins, craisins, fresh orange zest, agave and brown rice flour. 

By the slice $4;  the 1 lb. loaf $22, or 2 lb loaf $35

Breakfast

Cranberry Bliss Bars (GF, oil-free) a bar made with organic whole grain oat flour, with a touch of orange zest, tart fresh cranberries & walnuts, sweetened w/coconut sugar & topped with vanilla cream cheez frosting (tofu-based) 4.50

Chispa Meal Bar: dates, almond butter, prunes, pineapple, cranberries, Turkish apricots, Blenheim apricots, almonds, walnuts, pecans, quinoa flour, brown rice flour, ginger pieces, cinnamon, orange zest, dark chocolate mini-chips, flax seeds, inulin, glucomannan powder, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, vanilla. 3 oz. This is designed to be a meal as it is very filling, as well as nourishing. $4.50

*Samoa Cookies* dipped in chocolate; healthy version of the Girl Scout cookies 3 small cookies in container (SF, GF, no nuts) $4.
