Our Menu for Rillito Park Farmers Market 11/21 AND THANKSGIVING INFO

Dear Green Heart Friends,

I am doing my best to get this Sunday's menu to you, as well as the Thanksgiving menu (that would have gone out last week had we not taken our overnight trail ride). BOTH are attached to this email.  To order, it would be best to start a new email to tucsongreenheart@gmail.com (rather than hitting Reply).

Yes, we will be at the Rillito Market on Sunday 11/21.  Yes, if you order a pie or dessert, it will be "good" for Thanksgiving - just refrigerate it (no need to freeze). Also, for Sunday I will have the loaves in 3 flavors:  Banana Walnut, Pumpkin Pecan, Cranberry Orange Walnut.  If you want to have those for Thanksgiving, they will keep very well in ziploc bags in the refrigerator, and can be reheated on "the day".

You may also order from the Thanksgiving menu, and this year my helper, Leila, will make those deliveries on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons (11/23 & 11/24). There will be a delivery fee, ranging from $5 to $15 for the most furthest afield of you.  (This will be a big improvement over last year; a couple of you waited too long for your deliveries by me :-(

For delivery on Tues 11/23 or Wed 11/24, please send your address & phone number with your order.  Leila will organize the deliveries, and she will message you what time you can expect your delivery.  As usual, you can pay cash, Venmo, check, or Zelle....or credit card.  She will message you your total as well.

Pumpkin and Red Bean Stew

Fresh pumpkin, roasted, then added to a thick soup of red beans, organic red bell peppers, carrots, onions, fresh tomatoes, and seasoned with herbs.
( GF, soy-free, oil-free) 16 oz. $7.00

Mushroom Barley Soup

Ted will make Mushroom Barley Soup. (SF, oil-free, nut-free) $7.

Mushroom Ragout on Garlic

Mashed Potatoes

The mashed potatoes are made without oil/fat: organic Yukon Gold potatoes steamed with garlic cloves and mashed with almond milk. The ragout: crimini, shiitake, portobella mushrooms simmered in broth, sherry, seasoned, and garnished with parsley.

Sandwiches

Chickpea Mock “Tuna”: 8 oz container, or on Dave’s Killer Bread (this is very low fat, as we make the “mayo” (tofu, lemon juice,

apple cider vinegar, Dijon, agave), and high in fiber and plant protein. $8.

Curried ChickUn Salad: 3 grain tempeh in a dressing of mayo and mango chutney, mixed with celery, raisins & roasted cashews. 8 oz container, or on Dave’s Killer Bread. $9.00 (filling is oil-free)

Seitan Reuben: house made seitan corned “beef”, sauerkraut, our cashew cheez spread, with our Russian dressing, on organic sprouted rye. $10
