Dear Green Heart Friends,

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving! I got to sit on the couch with the parade and the dog show on TV while I replied to messages, and talked to family on the phone

I know our Thanksgiving deliveries on Tuesday & Wednesday went more smoothly this year - yay! Leila was a big help.

Then I got a call from Elkhorn Ranch, a guest ranch near Sasabe.  They had guests arriving Sunday that wanted "vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free" food, so Elkhorn called me and I made a huge order for them:  cookies, brownies, cakes, scones, loaves.  One of the owners came and picked up the order - and I found out that Ted and I can trailer horses there and ride!

Sunday morning was Chef AJ's Small Business Sunday and I offered the Rainforest Cake, as usual.  We have been baking and packing and sending cakes the past several days.

Yup, it's definitely December with all this activity!

Zesty Vegetable

Ted will make his tomato-based vegetable soup w/peas, carrots, onions, green beans, corn, POZOLE. Seasoned with his garden herbs. (GF, SF, oil-free) $7.00

Frozen we have: Mushroom Barley (SF, oil-free) $7

Shepherd’s Pie

Assorted vegetables & white beans in our sage & thyme seasoned gravy (almond milk base), topped with a sweet potato “crust”. (GF, SF, oil-free) $11.00. *no mushrooms*

Oyster Mushrooms & Broccoli in Teriyaki Sauce

Oyster mushrooms in our house made teriyaki sauce, using coconut aminos so it’s not too salty. Paired with broccoli and sticky rice.

(GF, soy-free, oil-free, no nuts) $12.00.

Sandwiches & Salads

Chickpea Mock “Tuna”: 8 oz container, OR on Dave’s Killer Bread (this is very low fat, as we make the “mayo” (tofu, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, Dijon, agave), and high in fiber and plant protein. $8.

Nicoise Salad: on a bed of greens, our chickpea mock “tuna”, green beans, cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, baby red potatoes, with our Ranch dressing on the side. (soy-free, GF, no oil) $9.

Roasted Veggie Pesto Panini:

On Dave’s Killer Bread, roasted red bell, red onion, Portobello mushrooms & zucchini, dressed in our oil-free pesto. (soy-free, no oil) $9.

Seitan Reuben: house made seitan corned “beef”, sauerkraut, Daiya Swiss, with our Russian dressing, on organic sprouted rye. $10

Healthy Desserts

YES, WE HAVE RAINFOREST CAKES (as seen on Chef AJ’s Small Business Sunday) but you don’t have to pay the shipping costs because you live in Tucson! 1 lb. loaf $22. 2 lb loaf $35. *This is without the git “wrap” of the white burlap bag & insert. Let me know if you’d like those with your cake(s).

Organic Carrot Cake: carrots, pineapple, pecans, raisins in oat flour, agave-sweetened, with our silken tofu-based vanilla frosting (GF, no added oil) $7/slice

Peanut Butter & Cream Cheez-filled Chocolate Cupcakes $4.50

Raw Truffle: Peanut Butter w/cacao nibs (raw, GF, soy-free, oil-free) $2/each or 3/$5

Organic sprouted spelt crust Hand Pies: Peach (soy- free) $7.

Pecan Tarts – same size as fruit tarts (GF) $7
