We are inching our way to Valentine's Day!   Therefore, I must "preview" & offer some of those special treats that are ONLY desired for V-Day:

Chocolate Raspberry Hearts (3")

* my personal favorite, back in the '90's when we made dozens of these cakes for all the Whole Foods Markets in SoCal was:  YOU SLAY ME     but nobody ever thought it was as funny as I did!

So, everything seems to be CHOCOLATE, and RASPBERRIES.  Yes, the fresh raspberry growers really prepare for V-Day as the demand is great (as it is for red roses!).  Therefore, the layer cake this week is LEMON Raspberry, just to break it up ;-). And --- you'll still see Chocolate Raspberry Tarts as well on the menu.  (And this is just the "lead-up" to Valentine's Day; be sure to place any advance order for Sunday 2/13 as soon as you know :-)

Organic Stuffed Red Bell Peppers (w/Mexican Rice)

Okay, that's enough photos for today!  Ted points out that, more important than Valentine's, is SUPER BOWL SUNDAY on the 13th (the same day all the loving people will pick up their hearts).  Last year we offered a 7-Layer Dip with oil-free tortilla chips on the side, and Game-Day Chili.  He would like a "heads-up" if you think you'll be interested in those (no commitment necessary at this time ;-)

Southwest Black Bean Soup
Ted will make his delicious and popular black bean
soup that he seasons with his southwest herbs. Also,
Mexican tarragon, roasted corn, red bells, some
tomatoes. (GF, SF, no oil) $7.50
Frozen: only a couple Roasted Leek & Potato $7.
 

Stuffed Red Bell Peppers
Filled with Mexican rice (pinto beans, onions, celery,
cumin, chili powder, some tomato, organic brown
rice). One organic whole pepper (not cut in half) (GF,
soy- free, no added fat) $11.
 

Mushroom Ragout on Garlic
Mashed Potatoes
The mashed potatoes are made without oil/fat:
organic potatoes steamed with garlic cloves and
mashed with almond milk. The ragout: crimini &
portobella mushrooms simmered in broth, sherry,
seasoned, and garnished with parsley.
(soy-free, oil-free, GF) $11


Organic Quinoa Sushi Bowl
Quinoa, edamame, nori, radishes, carrots, cucumbers
w/a dressing of fresh orange, ginger, miso, rice
vinegar. (No onion, GF, no oil). $9.

Sandwiches
 

Chickpea Mock “Tuna”: 8 oz container, or on
Dave’s Killer Bread. This is very low fat, as
we make the “mayo” (tofu, lemon juice,
apple cider vinegar, Dijon, agave), and high
in fiber and plant protein. $8. (filling is GF,

Millet Lentil Loaf: sprouted organic millet &
lentils cooked with onion & herbs, then sliced
as a loaf. On Dave’s Killer Bread w/our house
made cashew cheez and ketchup. $9

Curried ChickUn Salad: 3 grain tempeh in a
dressing of mayo and mango chutney, mixed

Seitan Reuben: house made seitan corned
“beef”, sauerkraut, our house made cashew
cheez, with our Russian dressing, on
