Menu for Sunday Rillito Park Farmers market 4/3, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Dear Green Heart Friends,

At last - this Sunday is closing day for the horse racing season 🎉  What a relief!

We are being very "elastic" (flexible) at the moment...the young Portland lady took a job at Midtown Market after she and I agreed that she would work on Saturdays...w/o telling Tanya, who immediately put her on Saturdays.  Then Tanya sent me the resume of a very nice lady who never spoke to me but decided we are too hectic for her (I would probably get on her nerves ;-).

And so we soldier on bravely!  Our new Zoe on Sundays will come help on Saturday + her terrific mom, too!

Please let me know how you liked the Roasted Veggie Sandwich, and/or the Lavash Wrap.  This week we'll repeat the Roasted Veggie, but w/o the mushrooms, staying with red bells, sweet onions, zucchini and yellow squash.

This Sunday is Cyclovia and "Ride Your Bike to the Market" Sunday.  I will be bestowing a free Mini Carrot Cake cupcake to bicycle riders (easily distinguishable by their costumes of elastic black pants and brilliant jerseys...+ they have bikes!) who show up at our booth.

We truly hope you are enjoying the food we are providing.  The subject has come up several times in the past week:  flavor vs. healthy.  My father told me (as a little girl when I asked if I could have white bread for my sandwiches instead of the Oroweat Wheat Berry Bread mine were made on), "You're not eating for entertainment.  You have to eat well so you don't get sick.  You will do well to learn to like what's good for you."  This may not be a good example because EVERYONE agrees that wheat berry bread is yummier and more interesting than white bread -- or do they?  It seems millions of people ARE eating white bread :/  Hopefully, we have managed to make healthy food that tastes delicious to you.  And WE all know that what we eat does make a big difference, on so many levels.

Thank you, as always, in advance, for your order.

In health,
