Sunday Oct 2nd Menu - Pick Up Rillito Park Farmers Market 8 am - Noon

First off, let's hope it will cool down soon! I thought last Sunday was the l-o-n-g-e-s-t market I'd ever done.

Second, please let me know what you'd like to see on the menu 😋.  We've had such a productive summer making birthday cakes, custom orders, and treats for Midtown Deli --- but not very much savory sold last week (?).  You may be too hot to eat, or transitioning to breatharian; just let me know what you'd like to have.

Responding to a request, there is a SAVOURY MUFFIN this week; you'll see it on the menu.

If you are a new Green Heart friend, please know that we are using almost 100% organic ingredients (which is not as "in demand" as it once was).  We are generally working w/o oil, and perhaps a little pink Himalayan salt; we're getting our flavor from herbs, and those are usually the fresh ones that Ted grows.  All of this combines to make hearty, solid food that is easy to digest, and is nutritious.....otherwise, you could just buy frozen foods.  We bought a bunch of those in July 2020, when we spent that month in Pagosa Springs, CO, with 2 of our horses.  I just never felt that full of "vim & vigor" (as Jack LaLanne would say) from "factory made food".  Which is too bad; it's convenient and budget-priced. Our goal, though, is to provide you with something better 💚

Frozen Soups: Zesty Veg w/Posole, Southwest Black Bean $7. (GF, SF)

Veggie Tarts w/Hollandaise

Oat & cornmeal crust, filled with zucchini, yellow squash, red onion, red bells, cherry tomatoes, oven- roasted in white wine, seasoned with fresh sage & other herbs. Hollandaise (almond milk based) served on the side. Herbed quinoa, too. (GF, no added oil) $13.

Moroccan Chickpea-Potato Tagine

Yukon gold potatoes and chickpeas simmered with fresh ginger, garlic, onion, lemon zest, fresh tomato, and ras el hanout spice blend. Served over Herbed Couscous. ( soy-free, oil-free, no nuts) *Please specify if you’d like GF Basmati rice instead of couscous* ($13)


Seitan Reuben: house-made seitan corned “beef”, sauerkraut, house-made cashew cheez spread, with our Russian dressing, on organic sprouted rye. $11.

Millet Lentil Loaf: Our sprouted organic millet & lentil loaf, on Dave’s Bread, with our cashew cheez spread & ketchup. $10 (filling is GF, oil-free, SF)

You may also order a small loaf, no bread $13.


Ted will season his cashew cheez with herbs, and it will be 6 oz in weight. We’ll have samples to taste on Sunday. Price TBD; we don’t yet know the “yield” of the batch.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake by the slice: organic oat flour, sweetened w/agave, silken tofu chocolate frosting. (GF, no added oil, no nuts). $8/ slice

Organic Triple Berry Hand Pie: Blueberries, blackberries, & strawberries gently sweetened with agave, in an organic sprouted spelt crust. (Soy-free) $7.50

Lemon Bars w/oat flour crust, sweetened with xylitol (GF, oil-free) $5

Mixed Organic Berry Tarts (GF, no nuts) 7.50 ( Please specify if you’d like soy-free filling)

Chocolate Cherry Parfaits: bits of chocolate cake trim layered with organic cherries & our chocolate frosting. (GF, nut-free, no added fat) $6

Roasted Peanut & Cacao Nib Truffles ( date- sweetened) $2.50 each, or 3/$6
