Green Heart Menu for Rillito Park for Sunday 10/23, 9 am - 1 pm

Dear Green Heart Friends,

I've had 2 strange mornings as I THOUGHT I was on the phone with the Fraud Department of PayPal (who is my credit card processor).  I received a Request for $500 Payment in my PayPal app on my phone, so I thought it really WAS PayPal.  There was a phone number to call.  And I did, and that's how it works - they assure you they have everything under control, not to worry, they have secured the account from suspicious activity, etc.  It all takes SO long, that we had to adjourn yesterday and continue today (!).  They said they would refund me the $500 they claim was sent from my account (although I was unable to verify this; they said it was because my account was "frozen" to protect me, and that's why I could not view my statement).  They then said they had accidentally sent me too much $, and I needed to send it back minus the $500!!! At that point I said, "You guys are scammers.  I don't have time for this BS".  Then the one speaking at that moment (Sean Love, a phony name if I ever heard one) told me I needed to clean my mind, and that they're just trying to help me, and he was feeling hurt.  I said, "That's not very professional but it's exactly what a scammer would say."

I hung up and called B of A, and I was on hold for an hour waiting for the Fraud Department there.  We got everything straightened out; the supposed $ Sean Love sent was MY money they had transferred out of my savings account to my checking account.  All is well; I was told that I had "won this round" against fraud.  🤓  They must persuade you to send them the money; that way your bank cannot come after them.

And now for the yummy menu!

Roasted Garlic, Butternut Squash Stew

For our "soup" this week, I thought it would be great to have a squash stew (w/butter beans, kale, farro, and fresh herbs). (This photo is pirated from Forks over Knives)

Cathy is returning this weekend, filling in for James, and she will make the Oyster Mushroom Teriyaki w/Broccoli that she makes superbly well (if you've had this before, you know it's true!).

Ted and I will make the Calzone in organic WW crust, with our "sausage" and potatoes in a well-seasoned tomato sauce.

Lots of baked goods:  I am repeating the Apple Spice Mini-bundts with fresh apple filling, and Cranberry Bliss Bars, and Pumpkin Tarts, and Tiramisu (and more! ;-).  We'll have a few Halloween-decorated chocolate cupcakes - those aren't even on the menu.

Pumpkin Mini-pies, and Tart (in the corner)

I'll end abruptly here, as I've got to go shopping! (After wasting all that time on the phone yesterday AND today😡). Later, I'll phone PayPal in SF and report to them, but apparently this is commonly going around now.

Thank you in advance for your order.

In health & wealth 😁,
