Menu for Sunday 3/26 Rillito Park Farmers Market

Dear Green Heart Friends,

We're back!  (I baked birthday cakes last weekend....with no time pressure! ;-)

And for those who are wondering:  no, Canela has not foaled.  Perhaps the lady in Sacaton where Canela  was taken for a 5-week honeymoon with a handsome Morgan stallion, is incorrect about the dates.  Dr. Dryden, who has the Arabian horse farm next to Tucson Wildlife Center, told Ted that he has 5 mares who are "late", and better late than early.  She seems fine, and so we have to be patient.

This week, our soup will be Spinach Lentil (there's a photo from FOK Magazine).  But we'll be using the organic black beluga lentils from Montana that I buy from Palouse Farms.  Black lentils are the most nutritious of all lentils, and they have a mild flavor.

Also on the menu is our Kale Potato Enchilada Casserole:

See how we're making sure you get plenty of greens with your legumes? 💪

We also have the Tempeh Coconut Curry w/organic brown basmati rice.  It's not as colorful as the Red Thai Curry (because it's not red), but it is tasty (and has no nightshades in it).

If you are new to this email list, here's the drill:  email back with anything you'd like held for you.  Sunday morning at Rillito, I will have your order ready for you, and you will pay when you pick up your order.  Please email back your order by Thursday evening (even though we will accommodate late orders if at all possible). Also, almost 100% of the ingredients are organic.  You're always welcome to inquire about any ingredient we use.  The intent is to provide you with "clean, green" food that is delicious.

Thank you in advance for your order.  And just FYI, Sunday 4/2 is the closing day of horse-racing season, after which parking will revert to its previous level.

In health,
